Le poste de garde 30 a été construit en 1880. Un poste de garde était une petite maison où vivait le garde-barrière. Il ou elle ouvrait et fermait les barrières lorsque train passait. Toutes les petites maisons ont été construites dans les années 80 et 90 du 19e siècle. Après la fermeture de la ligne en 1950, de nombreuses maisons ont été démolies car elles avaient perdu leur ancienne fonction. Heureusement, un certain nombre ont été préservées.
