Le bombardement de Middelburg a eu lieu lors des jours de mai 1940, le 17 mai 1940, pendant la bataille de Zeeland. Une grande partie du centre historique de Middelburg a été détruite par l'incendie qui s'est déclaré. Bien qu'il soit appelé bombardement, il s'agit principalement d'un bombardement d'artillerie. Cependant, il n'est jamais devenu entièrement clair laquelle des parties belligérantes était responsable de cela.
