Vous traversez ici le ruisseau De Danne. La Danne coule vers l'ouest depuis la Vecht. Au-delà du canal Amsterdam-Rhin, ce cours d'eau s'appelle l'Aa. C'est un ancien bras de la Vecht et en tant que tel, il a également été d'une grande importance pour le transport entre la Vecht et l'arrière-pays à l'ouest de la Vecht. Breukelen s'est déjà formé au 8ème siècle à cette bifurcation de ces deux rivières.
