Eijsden a son propre Statue de la Liberté. En l'honneur des 70 ans de libération d'Eijsden en 2015, des élèves des groupes 6, 7 et 8 de l'École primaire de Cramignon ont créé de petites sculptures en cire et en bois sur le thème de 'la liberté'.
Les enfants se demandaient : 'Qui ou quoi est-ce que je veux protéger ou chérir ?'. Avec l'artiste, les enfants en ont fait une grande sculpture qui a ensuite été coulée en aluminium. Maintenant, elle trône sur un champ entre la bibliothèque et l'école.
