Le Brielsche Aap est situé sur une magnifique île juste en face de la porte d'entrée de l'ancienne ville fortifiée de Brielle. Le Waterravelijn, comme on l'appelle officiellement, est caché derrière un vieux mur de défense. L'île n'a pas été accessible au public depuis longtemps, mais grâce au Brielsche Aap, cette île spéciale peut être visitée.
