Le domaine de 88 hectares est situé sur un banc de sable mouvant qui s'étend le long de la rive ouest de la Dommel entre les localités de Boxtel et Sint-Michielsgestel. Vers 1900, ce sable mouvant, où plusieurs marécages s'étaient formés par érosion, a été planté de pins sylvestres. Peu à peu, une forêt de bouleaux et de chênes s'est développée ici.
Sur le domaine se trouve un tumulus datant de l'âge du bronze.
