The 88-hectare estate is located on a drifting sand ridge that extends along the west bank of the Dommel between the places Boxtel and Sint-Michielsgestel. Around 1900, this drifting sand, in which a number of ponds had formed due to erosion, was planted with Scots pine. Gradually, birch-oak forest has developed here.
On the estate, there is a burial mound from the Bronze Age.
