Au sommet de la colline de Wageningse se trouve l'ancien stade de football de Wageningen. À l'origine, le terrain faisait partie du domaine de Cortenbergh, mais après le décès de Crommelin, il a été vendu séparément du futur domaine Oranje Nassau’s Oord.
En 1898, le terrain a d'abord été utilisé comme lieu pour le nouveau concours hippique de Wageningen. Peu après, le terrain sportif s'est transformé en l'un des premiers terrains de football néerlandais et le stade construit a été fortement apprécié en tant que monument sportif de Wageningen. Bien que le FC Wageningen ait fait faillite en 1992, le stade a survécu en tant que patrimoine de Wageningen.
