Wat Nong Lanka est un grand temple orienté vers l'est et construit en dehors des murs de la ville dans la région d'Aranyik (forêt) au 14e - 15e siècle de notre ère, lorsque Nakhon Chum était le centre de l'administration. Il est entouré d'un fossé sur quatre côtés suivant la tradition bouddhiste Lanka Wangsa. Les bâtiments du temple étaient disposés selon un plan rectangulaire. Le chedi principal de forme cloche dans le style Sukhothaï était en briques avec des niches sur quatre côtés. Le chedi principal est composé d'une base avec trois niveaux en retrait en forme de lotus inversé et relevé, un corps de chedi élancé de forme cloche, une forme carrée représentant un trône, des couches de moulures circulaires en retrait et une flèche effilée.
