Terfens è un comune con 2252 abitanti nel distretto di Schwaz in Tirolo. Il comune si trova nel distretto giudiziario di Schwaz. Fino al 1° aprile 1928, il comune faceva parte del distretto di Innsbruck. Terfens si trova nella valle dell'Inn, circa 20 km a est di Innsbruck. L'Inn forma il confine meridionale del comune, mentre a nord e a est è contrassegnato dal Vomper Bach, che sfocia nell'Inn.
