La rovina del castello di Kropfsberg è la rovina di un castello su una cima collinare nel comune di Reith im Alpbachtal, su un’altissima cresta collinare nella valle dell’Inn sopra la città di St. Gertraudi.
Gli arcivescovi di Salisburgo ricevettero grandi parti della valle dello Zillertal. Sotto l'arcivescovo Konrad I di Salisburgo, nella prima metà del XII secolo, fu costruito il primo castello all’ingresso della valle dello Zillertal. Era probabilmente solo una torre circondata da mura. Il castello veniva utilizzato dagli arcivescovi come sede della corte e dell’amministrazione di Salisburgo. Kropfsberg è stato citato per la prima volta in un documento del 1286.
