Il castello di Ehrenhausen sorge con le sue ben conservate fortificazioni su un'altura scoscesa che domina la Mur e il paese di Ehrenhausen nel distretto di Leibnitz nella Stiria meridionale. Non lontano dal castello si trova sulla stessa altura il mausoleo di Ruprecht von Eggenberg. Il castello è un edificio irregolare a quattro ali su tre piani attorno a un cortile ad arcate, con una torre di guardia del XII secolo. Il castello viene menzionato per la prima volta nel 1240 come feudo dell'abbazia di St. Paul nella Lavanttal. Da circa il 1260 i signori di Pettau e dal 1441 i conti di Schaunberg sono stati vassalli dell'abbazia.
