Le château d'Ehrenhausen se trouve avec des fortifications bien conservées sur une élévation escarpée surplombant la Mur et le village d'Ehrenhausen dans le district de Leibnitz en Styrie du Sud. Non loin du château se trouve sur la même colline le mausolée de Ruprecht d'Eggenberg. Le château est un édifice quadrilatéral irrégulier de trois étages autour d'une cour arcadée, avec une tour de guet datant du XIIe siècle. Le château est mentionné pour la première fois en 1240 comme fief de l'abbaye de Saint-Paul dans la vallée de la Lavante. À partir de 1260, les seigneurs de Pettau et, à partir de 1441, les comtes de Schaunberg étaient des tenanciers du fief.
