Questa volta si parte in tutta calma: con la funivia del Rofan si discendono 800 m di dislivello dal rifugio Erfurter Hütte fino a Maurach. Lo sguardo si volge al bellissimo lago Achensee, lungo le cui sponde a sud e sud-ovest cammineremo per raggiungere Pertisau. Nella valle Falzthurntal si percorre un tratto asfaltato, prima fino alla locanda Gasthaus Falzturn e al caseificio, poi lungo una strada forestale fino alla Gramaialm e continuando nell'entrovalle in direzione del rifugio Lamsenjochhütte. Per raggiungere questo rifugio, meta della tappa, occorre superare dei ripidi pendii lungo i sentieri che si inerpicano in tante serpentine fino al valico. Quando si avverte che le forze iniziano a mancare, si è già quasi davanti alla porta del rifugio.
