La Piazza Poelaert è una piazza nel centro di Bruxelles, in Belgio, vicino a Place Louise e alla Piccola Circonvallazione. Misura 150 per 50 metri — una superficie di 0,75 ha — ed è quindi la più grande piazza della città. È dominata dal Palazzo di Giustizia ed è stata nominata in onore del suo architetto, Joseph Poelaert. Prima della costruzione della piazza, una grande parte del precedente parco e dei giardini della Casa dei Merode venne tagliata. La posizione sulla Galgenberg, nella parte alta di Bruxelles, offre una vasta panoramica sulla parte bassa di Bruxelles e sui comuni del nord-ovest come Koekelberg e Laken. Andreas Vesalius vi andava a raccogliere i corpi dei condannati a morte per le sue ricerche anatomiche.
