Per inaugurare ufficialmente Piazza degli Eroi di Hams è stata eretta la statua di 't Menneke. Ufficialmente chiamata "Il Bravo Cittadino". Doveva essere qualcosa degli abitanti stessi. Doveva essere un omino pacifico e allo stesso tempo piacevole. Un abitante di Ham è orgoglioso, umile, calmo e piacevole. Tutto questo è racchiuso nel Bravo Cittadino. Del resto, tutti vedono una somiglianza con il proprio nonno.
