Un ponte in cemento, il cosiddetto Pontbrug, collega la piazza del villaggio con l'altra sponda della Leie. Il ponte è stato costruito per sostituire uno dei tre traghetti sulla Leie, che prima della costruzione della Drongensesteenweg era l'unico collegamento con Gand. Il primo ponte in legno (1826) è stato rinnovato nel 1899-1900 in ardesia e ferro; distrutto nel 1918, è stato sostituito, dopo la costruzione nel 1919 di un ponte temporaneo in legno, nel 1926-27 con l'attuale ponte ad arco in cemento con travi a Vierendeel.
