Il Mont Kemmel è la montagna più alta delle Fiandre Occidentali (156 m) ed è presente in molte gare di ciclismo. Questa collina è spesso decisiva e funge da giudice di pace nella Gent-Wevelgem, nei Tre Giorni delle Fiandre Occidentali ad esempio.
Per scalare il Mont Kemmel ci sono 3 percorsi diversi: da Ovest, Sud ed Est. Ci sono ciottoli sul versante Ovest ed Est.
La pendenza è ripida: 23% massimo, e la media si aggira intorno al 4% (tranne il versante sud (8%)).
La rapida discesa sui ciottoli provoca a volte cadute, motivo per cui il versante ovest è stato escluso durante la Gent-Wevelgem.
Secondo un’indagine, il Mont Kemmel è persino più difficile del Muro (vedi articolo)!

Mont Kemmel da Sud: 7,8 di media, 15% max (su una lunghezza di 100 m), 17% max (su una lunghezza di 5 m), 109 m di dislivello, lunghezza: 1400 m, punteggio cotacol: 147
