Waarloos è un comune nella provincia belga di Anversa e una frazione di Kontich. Waarloos era un comune autonomo fino alla riorganizzazione comunale del 1977. Il nome deriva probabilmente dalle parole germaniche wardo e loos, che significano rispettivamente attesa e pascolo, pendio. La composizione può quindi essere interpretata come pendio di osservazione o pascolo panoramico. In questo contesto si ricorda spesso che potrebbe esserci stata una postazione di guardia romana sulla Keizerenberg.
