Terkoest è un villaggio nella provincia belga di Limburg. Si trova a nord-ovest del comune di Alken e si trova nel punto in cui il Kozenbeek entra nella valle dell'Herk. Le tracce più antiche di abitazione del luogo risalgono alla fine del 12° secolo e all'inizio del 13° secolo. In quel periodo c'era una motta situata non lontano dall'attuale Castello di Leva.
