Terkoest is a village in the Belgian province of Limburg. It is located in the northwest of the municipality of Alken and is situated where the Kozenbeek flows into the valley of the Herk. The oldest traces of habitation in the area date back to the late 12th, early 13th century. At this time, there was a motte located not far from the current Castle Leva.
