Il Koekelarebos, Praatbos e il dominio del castello di Ter Heyde è un paesaggio di importanza storico-culturale nei pressi dei luoghi fiamminghi di Koekelare e Vladslo, classificato come sito di ancoraggio.
L'area si trova su un promontorio del Plateau di Wijnendale e comprende un'antica area di boschi e terreni incolti, tra cui l'allora molto più grande Koekelarebos. A causa delle bonifiche, l'area boschiva è stata frammentata e comprende, oltre a un relitto del Koekelarebos, anche il Praatbos, il Welfvenstbos, il parco del dominio del Castello di Ter Heyde e l'arboreto nel territorio di Bovekerke.
