La stazione di Geel fu costruita nel 1880. Geel è servita da treni provenienti da Anversa che vanno da Geel a Hamont o Hasselt.
Nel 2015 la linea è stata elettrificata attraverso la stazione. Di conseguenza, oggi ci sono treni elettrici tra Mol e Anversa. Tuttavia, la stazione è ancora servita anche da treni a motore diesel. Questo perché il treno per Hamont/Hasselt da Mol utilizza linee non elettrificate.
