Questo piccolo e tranquillo parco è stato creato all'inizio del XX secolo come parte della costruzione del boulevard du Souverain. Il parco, e in particolare il suo stagno, ospita molti uccelli: gallinelle d'acqua, oche egiziane, anatre mandarine, aironi e molti altri. 16 dei 18 tipi di pipistrelli inventariati in Belgio hanno anche scelto questo luogo come la loro area di caccia preferita. Molti alberi nel parco sono stati designati come 'alberi notevoli' nella regione di Bruxelles.
