Dall'altra parte del Rupel si trova il dominio verde provinciale 'Broek De Naeyer'. Questa area di 66 ettari era in passato più una discarica per rifiuti industriali che un dominio verde. Fortunatamente, la provincia di Anversa ha dato alla natura qui l'opportunità di rigenerarsi. Il risultato è un meraviglioso mosaico di diversi biotopi con una ricca fauna e flora. Molti uccelli, libellule e farfalle trovano qui il loro posto e anche il castoro è tornato dopo anni di assenza. Oltre al castoro, anche l'otter, di cui si pensava non fosse più presente in Fiandre, è stato osservato qui più volte dal 2012.
Da due capanni per il birdwatching puoi goderti con calma la vivace natura. Questa area è famosa per la sua ricerca scientifica sugli uccelli.
