Al otro lado del Rupel se encuentra el dominio verde provincial 'Broek De Naeyer'. Esta área de 66 ha solía ser más un vertedero de residuos industriales que un dominio verde. Afortunadamente, la provincia de Amberes le ha dado a la naturaleza la oportunidad de recuperarse aquí. El resultado es un hermoso mosaico de diversos biotopos con una rica fauna y flora. Muchas aves, libélulas y mariposas encuentran su lugar aquí, y también el castor ha regresado después de años de ausencia. Junto al castor, la nutria, de la que se sospechaba que ya no existía en Flandes, ha sido observada aquí en múltiples ocasiones desde 2012.
