Nel cimitero urbano nel centro di Veurne è presente una fossa comune francese. Circa 80 soldati francesi sono sepolti qui. In questo cimitero troverai anche un'area commemorativa francese con circa 150 tombe. Tra le croci francesi ci sono anche 8 lapidi arabe. Qui puoi trovare anche la tomba di Karel Cogge. Ha svolto un ruolo cruciale nell'allagamento della pianura dell'Yser nel 1914.
