Questa diga collega De Klinge a Kieldrecht ed è una diretta conseguenza della fine della Guerra dei Trent'anni. Nel 1673 questa è la frontiera tra i Paesi Bassi spagnoli e la Repubblica indipendente dei Sette Paesi Bassi Uniti. Gli spagnoli non si fidano della situazione. Costruiscono la diga come protezione contro l'allagamento dei loro territori. Oggi la Koningsdijk è soprattutto una splendida pista ciclabile.
