Colonne in ghisa, una struttura in acciaio e enormi finestre caratterizzano il filatoio e ritornitore di cotone La Nouvelle Orléans. Sulla cima della torre quadrata delle scale viene collocato un serbatoio d'acqua per il sistema antincendio. Dopo un'acquisizione da parte di UCO, la fabbrica rimane attiva fino al 1988. Oggi il terreno è di proprietà della città di Gand e attende una nuova destinazione.
