Il villaggio di Wijer ha anch'esso un'origine latina, per così dire romana. Nel 1139 è stato menzionato come Vilier, forse una deformazione della parola latina villa. Il castello di Wijer e la fattoria adiacente furono costruiti alla fine del XVIII secolo. La chiesa di San Pietro in Vincoli fu costruita nel 1824. Accanto alla chiesa si trova la tomba del letterato P.H. Creten, che qui è stato parroco tra il 1866 e il 1881.
