Riserva naturale De Kevie è una delle aree naturali più importanti di Haspengouw grazie alla sua preziosa flora, fauna e posizione nella valle di Jeker. Vi sono più di 300 piante, tra cui orchidee, menyanthium e triglochi. Tra le specie animali ci sono uccelli nidificanti, diversi pesci e anfibi. La Kevie è uno dei tre componenti del Parco paesaggistico del Jeker orientale. Gli altri due comprendono soprattutto paludi di canne e sono conosciuti con i nomi di Groot Meers e Hardel.
