La Steenstraat è una vecchia strada che attraversa alcuni comuni delle Fiandre Occidentali. La strada risale già all'epoca romana. Era una vecchia via di collegamento (diverticulum) tra Kassel nel nord della Francia e Aardenburg nell'attuale Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. La strada esisteva probabilmente già prima dell'epoca romana ed è stata rettificata e pavimentata dai romani, oppure è stata costruita ex novo dopo la trasgressione del mare. La strada pavimentata è rimasta esistente per secoli.
