Leffe è un quartiere della città belga di Dinant, sulla riva destra della Mosa, all'incrocio con il Fond de Leffe. Nel medioevo, era un enclave del Conte di Namur all'interno del principato di Liegi. Dal XIX secolo fino alla crisi tessile degli anni '60, era un importante centro per l'industria tessile. All'inizio della Prima Guerra Mondiale, il 23 agosto 1914, l'esercito imperiale tedesco giustiziò 147 operai e il direttore dell'azienda Manufacture de Tissus, senza alcuna motivazione valida. In totale, 679 persone furono assassinate a Dinant dai tedeschi, in un tentativo di spezzare con il terrore qualsiasi volontà di resistenza attorno al ponte sulla Mosa, strategico per l'invasione della Francia. Molte donne e bambini trovarono rifugio nell'Abbazia della Madonna.
