La Piazza Briek Schotte è una piazza situata nel Belgio Desselgem, un comune della città di West-Vlaanderen Waregem.
La piazza - dal 2005 intitolata al doppio campione del mondo di ciclismo Briek Schotte - si trova all'angolo tra Liebaardstraat e Meierie. È stata realizzata nel luogo della demolita locanda De Melkerij e porta una targa ufficiale della città di Waregem. Sulla facciata dell'abitazione adiacente pende una foto di Schotte realizzata da Stephan Vanfleteren.
Nel piazzale sono presenti due opere d'arte. La prima Briek di Ferro è opera di Johnny Behaeghe e fa riferimento alla regione delle lino. La seconda è un busto in bronzo di Yvan Behaeghe. Una panchina e dei pannelli informativi completano la piazza.
Anche se Schotte non nacque a Desselgem, lì andò a scuola, imparò ad andare in bicicletta e vi disputò la sua prima gara. Del resto, è in questo paese che dal 1941 si organizza annualmente il Gran Premio Briek Schotte di ciclismo. Grazie a Briek Schotte, Desselgem è stato il Paese del Giro delle Fiandre.[1]
