Il memoriale Alberto I s'innalza alla punta dell'isola Monsin che separa la Mosa dal canale Alberto a valle di Liegi. È stato inaugurato da Leopoldo III nel mese di agosto 1939 in memoria di Alberto I, che aveva lui stesso inaugurato i lavori del canale il 31 maggio 1930. L'architetto è Joseph Moutschen.
