Das Albert-I.-Denkmal erhebt sich an der Spitze der Insel Monsin, die die Maas vom Albertkanal stromabwärts von Lüttich trennt. Es wurde im August 1939 von Leopold III. zu Ehren von Albert I. eingeweiht, der selbst am 31. Mai 1930 die Arbeiten am Kanal eingeweiht hatte. Der Architekt ist Joseph Moutschen.
