Le Wellemeersen sono una riserva naturale riconosciuta e un riserva naturale e un area Natura 2000 nel comune di Denderleeuw. È un'area di inondazione del Dender, situata a nord del quartiere Leeuwbrug e a est della frazione Welle. Le Wellemeersen coprono principalmente un'area tra le linee ferroviarie 50 e 50A a sud e a est e il Dender a ovest.
È un'area ricca di uccelli caratterizzata principalmente da boschi paludosi, prati umidi e pozze d'acqua. Le Wellemeersen sono state protette nel 1980 come paesaggio protetto. Il riconoscimento della riserva naturale, con una superficie di circa 64 ha, scade il 18 novembre 2024. Nel 2019, la Vlaamse Landmaatschappij ha proposto un piano di gestione della natura per sviluppare il terreno in un paesaggio di prati, boschi e terre palustri contigue.
