Il Vergotedok è principalmente utilizzato per il trasbordo di materiali da costruzione e il riciclaggio del ferro.
Nella parte arrotondata del dock una parte del muro di banchina è rinforzata con cemento, altrove nel dock le mura sono di pietra. Qui in passato il Canale di Willebroek entrava in città e proseguiva poi il suo percorso dove ora si trova il Willebroekkaai.
