Alla Tjenneboom puoi godere di una vista panoramica su diversi paesini di Heers, Sint-Truiden e Borgloon. L'albero si trova nei pressi di Mettekoven, al confine di quattro comuni: Voort, Mettekoven, Gotem e Hoepertingen. L'albero si trova su una collina di 92 metri di altezza: il punto più alto di questa area.
Presso quest'albero, nei bui tempi medievali, sono state bruciate "streghe". Il nome "Tjenne" sarebbe derivato da Johanna o Anna Michiels, che qui sarebbe stata bruciata viva a conclusione di un processo durato due anni contro questa 'strega' di Mettekoven.
Alla Tjenneboom hai una vista gigantesca sulla bella Haspengouw ondulata e in una giornata serena puoi vedere un gran numero di campanili. Nei pressi dell'albero si trova anche il monumento per Tjenne.
