Alla fine del sentiero nel cimitero di Sint-Pietersveld, su un'altura, c'è un Calvario in una nicchia di mattoni rossi sotto un tetto a due falde di ardesia, una croce di legno con un crocifisso in gesso dipinto. Nell'angolo orientale del cimitero ci sono diverse file di croci di cemento di tombe delle vittime della seconda guerra mondiale.
Il piccolo cimitero fu inaugurato nel 1854 come luogo di sepoltura dell'Ecole de Réforme de Ruyslede.
Il cimitero fu utilizzato per la sepoltura dei direttori, dei membri del personale e nei primi anni anche degli inquilini delle istituzioni di Ruiselede e Beernem. Prima della costruzione del cimitero, tra il 1849 e il 1853, i ragazzi del manicomio furono sepolti nel cimitero di Ruiselede. La vicina Veldkapelleke fa parte del comune di Wingene.
