Sul sagrato della chiesa di Braibant, questa piccola cappella è considerata una tomba di interesse storico locale , poiché qui è sepolto un personaggio illustre .

Jean-Baptiste Julien d'Omalius d'Halloy, nato nel 1783 e morto nel 1875 all'età di 91 anni, è conosciuto e riconosciuto dai suoi coetanei come la prima persona a mappare geologicamente l'Impero francese.

Svolse anche un importante ruolo politico a livello locale ( sindaco di Skeuvre e poi Braibant), provinciale e poi nazionale ( governatore della provincia di Namur, consigliere di stato, senatore, primo vicepresidente del Senato).
