Al cementiri de Braibant, aquesta petita capella està considerada com una tomba d'interès històric local , ja que hi ha enterrat un personatge il·lustre .
Jean-Baptiste Julien d'Omalius d'Halloy, nascut el 1783 i mort el 1875 als 91 anys, és conegut i reconegut pels seus companys com la primera persona a cartografiar geològicament l'Imperi francès.
També va tenir un paper polític important a nivell local ( alcalde de Skeuvre i després Braibant), a nivell provincial i després a nivell nacional ( governador de la província de Namur, conseller d'estat, senador, primer vicepresident del Senat).
