La capanna Tongerlo è un edificio del XV secolo nella città belga di Mechelen, che un tempo apparteneva all'abbazia norbertina di Tongerlo ed è attualmente occupata dal produttore di arazzi reale De Wit.
La fondazione a Mechelen risale al 1482 . Quell'anno, l'abate Werner van Halleer acquistò tre edifici per costruire una nuova casa. In epoca francese la cappella fu probabilmente demolita e il rifugio dichiarato bene demaniale con la soppressione dell'abbazia nel 1797. Sotto il regno di Napoleone l'edificio fu trasformato in caserma per la gendarmeria . Mantenne questa posizione fino al 1904.
All'epoca il rifugio era considerato pronto per la demolizione, ma la Provincia lo salvò e lo fece restaurare. Dal 1933 al 1961 il rifugio fu sede del Museo Arcivescovile .
Il produttore di tappeti reali De Wit ha sede lì dal 1985. All'interno si trovano i locali tecnici del produttore De Wit e cinque showroom.
