Questa area picnic coperta si trova all'incrocio tra Fonteinstraat e Wulvedreef nel Wijnendalebos.
Le famiglie nobili usavano i Wijnendalebos come residenza di caccia . Il bosco rimase praticamente intatto fino alla seconda metà del XVIII secolo .
La costruzione di nuove strade favorì il disboscamento e nella prima metà dell'Ottocento la vasta foresta era già molto frammentata. Molte specie esotiche sono state piantate per la produzione di legname.
