Il municipio di Spa fu costruito tra il 1762 e il 1768.
Questo edificio in splendido stile Luigi XVI è opera dell'architetto Digneffe. Nel 18° secolo accolse gli industriali che venivano a commercializzare l'acqua sorgiva . Nel 1822 questo Grand Hotel divenne proprietà di John Cockerill , che lo trasformò in una fabbrica di cardatrici (la cardatura è l'atto di separare le fibre di lana).
Oggi questo edificio ospita il municipio.
