Complesso architettonico attribuito all'architetto Guillaume Hersecap, composto da sei case costruite nel 1683 e restaurate dopo il 1916, come indicano i cartigli sulla facciata del n. 27.
Il ritmo rigoroso di questo rafforza l'omogeneità dell'insieme, nonostante le diverse larghezze e gli aggiustamenti ai davanzali delle cornici in pietra del piano terra. In alto, le baie classiche del tipo Tournai sono accentuate da una corda portante. Tetti di coppi o coppi che sovrastano le mensole in legno con graziosi riccioli particolarmente presenti.
La "rue du chateau" veniva chiamata "rue Castelaine" perché il primo castello di Tournai si trovava nelle vicinanze, su un'isola della Schelda.
