Nel 1588, JB Du Bois de Fiennes fondò nel suo castello una cappella dedicata a Saint Fiacre. San Fiacre è il santo patrono dei giardinieri.
Tuttavia solo nel 1676 gli abitanti poterono assistere alla messa e ricevere i sacramenti del battesimo e del matrimonio. Nel 1718 un parroco si stabilì a Membre, seguito da un parroco nel 1853.
L'antica cappella, circondata dal cimitero, fu demolita nel 1888 e sostituita dall'attuale chiesa.
Una caratteristica sorprendente è l'organo costruito da Georg Westenfelder, uno dei migliori del suo tempo. Si tengono ancora concerti d'organo.
