Lasciando la città tramite la pista ciclabile Goedendag, usciamo dalla città. Da Zwevegem seguiamo il canale verso Bossuit. Poi un tratto del fiume Schelda e poi il canale verso Roubaix. Lasciamo l'acqua per circa venti chilometri per raggiungere Lille con i suoi ciottoli. Da quel momento in poi è di nuovo acqua fino a Kortrijk.
Chi ha bisogno di un giorno per arrivare a Lille (dopo 56 km) può facilmente tornare in treno!
