La Commenda di San Giovanni è un edificio religioso nella città svizzera di Friburgo. Fu costruita a metà del tredicesimo secolo per i Giannizzeri dell'Ordine di San Giovanni di Gerusalemme. Oggi è la sede del servizio patrimonio culturale del cantone di Friburgo. Il complesso è completato dalla vicina chiesa di San Giovanni.
Un ospedale dei Cavalieri Ospitalieri di San Giovanni esisteva già intorno al 1174 a Magneden. Questa istituzione, probabilmente una delle prime del suo genere in Svizzera, fu annessa alla Commenda di Friburgo intorno al 1238. Gli Ospitalieri sono presenti a Friburgo dal 1224-1229, inizialmente in una casa in Place du Petit-Saint-Jean en l'Auge, la loro prima cappella si trova nel centro dell'odierna Place du Petit-Saint-Jean. Fu demolita nel 1832.
