Durante la traversata da Belalp a Riederalp, gli escursionisti possono godersi l'incredibile silenzio del leggendario Aletschji, godersi la riserva naturale dell'Aletschwald e la vista sul possente ghiacciaio dell'Aletsch. Il sentiero parte dall'Hotel Belalp, scende lungo lo Steigle fino all'Aletschji e prosegue fino al ponte sospeso Aletschji-Grünsee, lungo 124 m. Completato nel luglio 2008, più di 30.000 escursionisti entusiasti hanno attraversato il ponte durante la sua prima estate. Si trova di fronte al cancello del ghiacciaio dell'Aletsch e attraversa la gola di Massa profonda 80 m. Dopo aver attraversato il ponte, gli escursionisti hanno due possibilità: dal Grünsee al Teifewald o via Silbersand attraverso la Riederfurka fino a Riederalp.
